This Evil Generation

LIVING IN DARKNESS

Recently, while in a time of fellowship with the Lord, He said this: “Demons perform on demand, especially when My Name is spoken.  This is one of their favorite deceptions.  But know this, I am a Sovereign God.  I don’t come every time someone calls, and I don’t perform on command.  I only act according to My will and purpose and in My timing.  And I don’t act to bless you, I act to fulfill My will and purpose, which is a blessing to you”

In other words, God isn’t sitting around waiting for people to call His name so He can come running to see what they want.  He isn’t like some trained circus animal, ready to jump through a hoop as soon as someone sticks one in His face.  How ludicrous!  Yet that’s exactly what many in the traditional church believe today.  They travel around from place to place, drive for hours, and spend thousands of dollars on airfare and motels to see the latest circus, otherwise known as a “signs and wonders revival meeting”.  All because they think certain anointed men have this gift of making God do what they want, when they want.  This won’t be popular, but I have to say it, if that’s what you believe, then you don’t know God!  You only have a conception of God, and it’s a wrong one.

When you look at it in context (something that’s not very popular today, isolated phrases and verses are a lot more flexible), Ezekiel 20:9,14,22 all tell us that God acts to

Prayer is the Weapon for a Massive Reconstruction – Let’s Unite!!

Prayer is the Weapon for a Massive Reconstruction – Let’s Unite!!

Ephesians 6:18 – Prayer: The Secret Weapon

By Jeremy Myers

Perpetual Prayer (Ephesians 6:18a)
2. Petitionary Prayer (Ephesians 6:18b)
3. Powerful Prayer (Ephesians 6:18c)
4. Perseverant Prayer (Ephesians 6:18d)
5. Purposeful Prayer (Ephesians 6:18e)

As we continue our study of Ephesians 6 and spiritual warfare, and although we have already talked about the six pieces of the spiritual armor which Paul mentions, we still have one vitally important piece left. And although we looked last week at what many people think is the only weapon in the list—the sword of the spirit—today we come to another weapon which is just as powerful, maybe even more powerful at times.

Those who are blind to the death of family, friends and the destruction of life all around you,  believing yourself iinvincible…

Jesus saith to him: I am the way, and the truth, and the life. No man cometh to the Father, but by me.

John 14:6

And, St. Paul let us know this:

But as it is written, “Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him.”

AN OPEN LETTER TO AMERICA … TURN BACK TO GOD!!!

Image: http://www.cycleheart.com

Fellow Americans: “We….  in this country,  [may] wonder if God has turned his back on America. The answer to this is that America has turned its back on God.  In 1962, the Supreme Court stopped Bible reading and prayer in American schools. If families in America raise their kids in character and moral values, they have a chance to excel in their lives. Millions of kids today do not have this chance because of broken homes and the indifference of mothers and fathers.

Another big problem is our government. It is out of control in most ways. Because our government is selfish, lazy, overpaid and throws money to millions of people for little or no work, the spirit and drive that America has today is dismal and going down and we are hopelessly deadlocked. This is not Republicans against Democrats, it is the people versus Washington and its lobbyists. The sooner the liberals and conservatives see this, there is a chance our nation can get out of this mess.If not, the checks to Social Security, government workers, the disabled and the rest will stop. The people need to wake up to how serious this thing is now. You better get a job just in case.

Another government office is the Supreme Court which approved abortion in the United States. Since it rendered this decision, more than 55 million babies have been killed in the United States. We grieve for murderers in America, and we should grieve about those 1 million babies killed in America last year.

American needs to get on its knees and sincerely ask God back into our lives and help [our] nation get back on its feet.”

Incorruptible Saints

Incorruptible Saints

Saint Padre Pio (Italy)
Incorruptibility is a Roman Catholic and Eastern Orthodox belief that divine intervention allows some human bodies (specifically saints and beati) to avoid the normal process of decompositionafter death as a sign of their holiness. Bodies that undergo little or no decomposition, or delayed decomposition, are sometimes referred to as incorrupt or incorruptible.

Incorruptibility is thought to occur even in the presence of factors which normally hasten decomposition, as in the cases of saints Catherine of GenoaJulie Billiart and Francis Xavier.[1]

Roman Catholicism

In Roman Catholicism, if a body is judged as incorruptible after death, this is generally seen as a sign that the individual is a saintCanon law allows inspection of the body so that relics can be taken and sent to Rome. The relics must be sealed with wax and the body must be replaced after inspection. These ritual inspections are performed very rarely and can only be performed by a bishop respecting canon law. A pontifical commission can authorize inspection of the relics and demand a written report.[2] After solemn inspection of the relics, it can be decided that the body is presented in an open relicary and displayed for veneration. Catholic law allows saints to be buried under the altar, so Mass can be celebrated above the corpse.

Saint Soubirous ( Lourdes France)

The relics of Saint Bernadette were inspected multiple times, and reports by the church tribunal confirmed that the body was preserved. The opening of the reliquary was attended by multiple canons, the mayor and the bishop in 1919, and repeated in 1925.[3]

Saint Jacinta Marto (Fatima, Portugal)

Not every saint, however, is expected to have an incorruptible corpse. Although incorruptibility is recognized as supernatural, it is no longer counted as a miracle in the recognition of a saint.[4]

Embalmed bodies were not recognized as incorruptibles. For example, although the body of Pope John XXIII remained in a remarkably intact state after its exhumation, Church officials remarked that the body had been embalmed[5] and additionally there was a lack of oxygen in his sealed triple coffin.[citation needed].

Incorruptibility is seen as distinct from the good preservation of a body, or from mummification. Incorruptible bodies are often said to have the odour of sanctity, exuding a sweet or floral, pleasant aroma.
